Sunday World learnt that Mathabatha later sent delegates to Mashamba’s home in Mankweng to inform them of the mounting pressure to remove her but assured them that the ANC veteran would be removed over his dead body.
“This in my view was a set up. This was going to have serious political ramifications for him because you cannot just remove a politician of her calibre from her position despite her illustrious political career simply because she has not been well,” said an official.The official said Mathabatha was concerned that if she were to die after being removed from her position, her family would blame him for her death.
Another official said “comrades” had advised Mashamba to quit because of her poor health but she was defiant.Limpopo government spokesman Phuti Seloba said: “Mme Mashamba was given three months’ leave and she is still on the second month. She is recovering and we wish her a speedy recovery.”
Just hours after she set Twitter alight with stinging comments aimed at the Gigaba’s, Buhle’s said she is not afraid to head to court.

Buhle poked fun at the situation, adding that she would call in lawyers from the high-profile OJ Simpson murder case.

Bulawayo – A 26-year-old man reportedly drowned after he slipped from a rock and fell into a dam while taking selfies during an outing with friends inside Matopo National Park in Zimbabwe over the weekend.
Moses Ndlovu, 31, and his friends Methuseli Sibanda and Magezi Nyathi reportedly saw three elephants in a bushy area and “tried to drive them to a clearing so that they could take photographs with them”.
The elephants – two females and one bull – however, charged towards them and the three men fled from the scene.They ran in different directions, as the elephants pursued them.
The bull, however, caught up with Ndlovu and trampled him to death, while his two friends escaped unhurt.Ndlovu’s body was found the following day by a passerby, who reported the matter to the village head.
